The phone

It is awkward how big the discrepancies are in this country.

On the one hand you see the best technology almost everywhere 

around you, but on the other hand you find these 20th century 

coin phone all over.

Haven't seen this working on the other side of the sea for 

many years.

And if this wasn't enough.

Just a few seconds later I got confronted with a scene

 that brought me almost 15 years back in time. 

A guy looking for forgotten coins in the slot.  

Did that back in the days so we can play

bubble trouble.

The Rodeo

The biggest event in Houston 

is at the same time the biggest Rodeo in the world.

The hosting area is the reliant stadium, home of the 

Houston Texans!

Every rodeo show is ending with live Gig of a huge name.

So my visit ended with the appearance of Pitbull...

Finally after months I got to see the beach again,

even in a very different way.

Never the less it was an awesome feeling 

being near the water again, especially

with this great weather.

I was very impressed when I walked in to 

the Phoenician. 

The grocery store which had really every european 

product you can imagine. 

Awesome stuff as you can see on the following pictures.

The ktru festival

Saturday I visited an outdoor music festival

at the Rice University,

organized by the domestic radio Stadion KTRU.

See the bunny crowd surfing? 

Suppose this was the most funny part. 

The fenced area was the drinking.

So you could actually smoke where ever!

But you had to drink alcohol like a monkey in a cage.

And the stage wasn't so close from there either.

So from what I understood.

You got punished for drinking.

But still this was cleared very soon, since after 07:30 pm

they where out of drinks.

A small compilation of the beers you could get.

Yes we got them all of course.

Fat Tony as a classic rapper got late with his crew.

2 photographers, 2 back groung rappers, 2 trashy dancers

and a bunch of weirdos just hanging on stage.

The best moment of the gig was at the end, when they asked 

the crowd if anybody can do anything.

A geek in the front row shouted he can beatbox and out 

of nowhere he gave the best beatbox show I have ever experienced. 

After him this XXYYXX guy went on stage.

Funny name. Isn't it?

He was ok but nothing special.

All together the festival was nothing special 

but got saved by the really funny group if was with there!!!

a bunch of crows have a contract and replace them

for this period.

These two cats seemed to take their job

very serious.

Didn't really care how close I got.

I was just waiting till they brought their bazooka out 

and made dust out of me. 

Never happened since I'm still posting.

Maybe they should :) 

Their only reason to leave the place is probably 

eat sleep n piss....

The Houston Dynamos

The Houston Dynamos won their first 

season game of 2013 against DC United 2-0.

Having no expectations can only get you excited.

So It made me very happy visiting this brand new stadium.

It fits 24.000 people, which makes it a lot easier to be packed.

 All this gives you a great atmosphere.

Like everything else in the US the all around the game

was as expected! Fireworks, american flag and the national anthem.
